Hyperpigmentation
Hyperpigmentation is described as darkening and discoloration of the skin, typically caused due to high melanin levels. Melanin is the chemical that gives skin its pigmentation (color). Hyperpigmentation is one of the most common skin impurities usually known to worsens with age. Some discoloration may go away on its own with time, such as mild acne marks or freckles, but other types might require more intensive hyperpigmentation treatments to help fade. Nuna light-based medical devices assist in diminishing the appearance of hyperpigmentation.
